Welcome to the Snow Report

Current Conditions

(as of Friday, January 19, 2018)

More than 8 inches of snow this week, gave Pico patrol plenty to do yesterday - they dropped ropes on 14 trails, effectively doubling Pico's open terrain.

Patrollers weren't the only ones working hard - Pico snowmakers have been busy too. They spent much of yesterday on 49er and Easy Street, and they'll eventually move down to fatten up the coverage on Expressway and Panhandler for the weekend. The snowguns will stay on just as long as temperatures allow, which right now looks like sometime Friday night or early Saturday morning.

Although the temperatures will be too warm for making snow this weekend, they will be just right for skiing and snowboarding at Pico. Temps in the 30s and partly to mostly sunny skies will make this weekend the most comfortable weekend so far in 2018.

Last night we groomed 12 trails, including Knomes Knoll favorites Ace of Clubs and Triple Slope.

January is National Safety Awareness month and Learn to Ski and Snowobard Month. Pico Sports is celebrating safety month - purchase a helmet from now through January 21 at Pico Sports, Killington Sports or killingtonsports.com and get a FREE Killington lift ticket to use anytime between January 22 and the end of the season. Stop into Pico Sports for more info, and check out the new Pico logo gear while you're there.

Pico Snow Sports School is participating in Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month with a $49 Learn-to Package. Encourage someone you know to take up the sport you love with this special offer.

Regular hours of lift operation at Pico Mountain are 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Pico is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

These brisk January days are perfect days to generate some heat with a self-powered trip up Pico Mountain. The uphill travel route is now open for the season, learn more at killington.com/uphill.
