Hope on the Slopes Recap!
Posted by Pico Mountain on March 11, 2010
Saturday was Hope on the Slopes at Pico, and if you were there, you know it was a FANTASTIC day to be on the hill. With perfect bluebird skies and temperatures in the low 40’s, it was one of the best days of the season. And best of all, Pico guests raised $5,796 for the American Cancer Society!
Donations were collected all day at various locations, and $1 tickets were sold for the raffles, where we gave away great prizes like a snowboard package and 2010-11 My Pico Season Pass. Throughout the day, children enjoyed face painting and the free pizza party, while older guests enjoyed the open Pico Race Arena and live music on the deck of the Pico Lodge. There were also balloon raffles, a bake sale, and music broadcast straight from Pico all day!
We hope to make Hope on the Slopes an annual event, and it seems more possible than ever considering the huge amount of support from the Pico community. The close-knit community and friendships at Pico are some of the things that make us unique as a mountain, and we’re glad to see that feeling is shared by our guests.
Thanks for making Saturday so successful, and we’ll see you on the hill!
