Operations Update for Dec. 26

Is there a “Hug A Snowmaker” day listed as a holiday on the calendar? Well, there certainly should be because our snowmakers are truly the best! And let’s not forget Mother Nature, she’s been giving us low temperatures and allowing us to ski and ride top to bottom off the Summit.

Hip, hip, HOORAY for low temperatures! And you know what that means don’t you? Yes, our snowmakers will be working around the clock to make snow, snow and more snow. We’ll continue to pile up the snow and expanding snowmaking operations across Pico Mountain. So stay tuned, because we’ll continue to add more open trails to our roster.

Pico Mountain is open top-to-bottom Monday, intermediate/advanced skiers and riders should check out freshly groomed 49er from the summit and hit up Fool’s Gold, Swinger and Lower Pike. Beginners should check out Bonanza for great learning terrain.

Staring at 8:30 a.m., we’ll be spinning the Bonanza Chair to access easier terrain along with the Golden and Summit Express Quads for access to intermediate/advanced skiing and riding.

Keep your eye out for more trails, more snowmaking, and more lifts as conditions permit. In addition, the Pico Lodge will be fully open.

For Monday, lifts will be open from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and tickets will be $49 for adults (19-64), $42 for Young Adults/Seniors (13-18/65+) and $34 for Juniors (7-12).

For the latest updates, please check out the Conditions Report.

The Pico Express Card offers $29 mid-week, non-peak tickets and $39 weekend and peak day rates throughout the 2011-12 season. Enjoy the convenience of skipping the ticket windows and going directly to the lift with the Pico Express Card.
