We know a great thing about having a local mountain is becoming familiar with the day-to-day happenings.  That’s why we wanted to give you a heads up about some of the events going on this year at Pico…

United Way Weekend – January 18-20
Support the community that supports Pico.  Make a $20 donation to United Way at Pico on December 18-20 and receive a FREE Pico Express card (a $26) value, enabling you to skip the lines and go straight to the lifts every day. Express card holders receive discounted rates every day they ski or ride, so plan on joining us for United Way Weekend. All funds raised will go directly to the United Way of Rutland County, Vermont.

Telemark Demo Day – January 10, 2010
You’ve probably seen telemark skis on the slopes, but if you’ve always wanted a chance to try them yourself, come visit Pico on January 10.  We’ve partnered with Mountain Travelers to bring some of the latest and greatest telemark skis to Pico.  So come get your questions answered, and try something new on the 10th.

K-Town Showdown Rail Jam – February 13, 20010
The third event of our four-event season-long rail jam competition comes to slopes of Pico as we challenge skiers and riders to bring their skills in the new Triple Slope Terrain Park and earn some sweet prizes.  Register online for the competitions at Videographers can also square off against each other to film the best two-minute at each event.

Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge – February 28, 2010
Come join us in a family friendly downhill race! Skiers and snowboarders of any age are invited to compete in a casual race atmosphere where we’ll award prizes throughout the day.  Sponsored by Mountain Dew, the Vertical Challenge is a great day for everyone in your family or group to experience what it’s to compete in a real ski race!

And of course, we’ll have races, great deals, and big mountain skiing and snowboarding all season long.  Check back with us frequently and we’ll make sure you’re always in the know!
