United Way Weekend, Top-to-Bottom Skiing, and More!
Posted by Pico Mountain on December 18, 2009
Hey there Pico trailblazers!
We know there’s nothing better than getting first tracks on a sunny day, and we’re expecting a few of those for the weekend. It may be a little chilly, but it’s nothing a facemask or bandana can’t fix!
There’s a lot going on here this weekend – first off, it’s our United Way Weekend. With a $20 donation to the United Way of Rutland County, guests will receive a free Pico Express Card, which gets you discounted skiing and direct-to-lift access all season long. The Rutland United Way has been operating for 66 years on behalf of the Pico community, so we’re excited to be able to partner with them.
We know why guests come to Pico – great trails and high elevation. So this weekend, look forward to full top-to-bottom skiing at Pico on 49er, and more trails off the Knomes Knoll Triple. We’ll also have après ski entertainment rockin’ out at the Last Run Lounge, a great place to watch the sun set over Pico.
We’re trying our hardest to get the mountain open and covered in snow, but it all depends on what Mother Nature gives us to work with. For updated conditions and announcements on new trail openings, be sure to check out our snow report, updated daily. And don’t forget – Pico is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. That means that any snow we’ve gotten is piled up for Thursday, so consider a day at Pico when the powder starts falling…
That’s all for now, and keep your fingers crossed for snow!
