Children's Programs

Ministars/Lowriders Ages 4-6 years
Ministars is an innovative program that teaches your children to enjoy the sports of skiing and snowboarding in fun and educational environment.  Available as either a full or half day, with full day programs allowing for indoor play time and lunch. Our Pros, who are hand-picked because of the special rapport they have with kids, are trained to give young skiers and riders confidence as well as instill an early love for the sport. These pros know how to use games, obstacle courses and other fun activities to make learning how to ski and snowboard a blast. A complimentary lift ticket is included in the program. Lunch is included with the full-day program.

The program is located in the Ministar/Lowrider Room opposite the Pico Mountain Lodge. Reservations are required.  Call 1-800-923-9444.

*When your child is booked in the Ministar or Lowrider program, he or she may utilize our equipment before and after the program and either take it with them at the end of each day or leave it with us overnight so it will be waiting for them the next morning.  All rates are subject to change without notice.

Superstars Ages 6-12 years
This program is geared toward kids ages 6-12 for all ability levels including 1st timers.  Kids are placed in groups according to ability, the our pros goto work turning them onto a lifetime of skiing and riding.  Full- and Half-day programs are available.

The Superstar meeting location is slopeside next to the Race Shack. Reservations are required.  For information on Superstars at Pico, call 1-800-923-9444.

For the best learning advantage we recommend the all-day program, which is generally 4 hours of coaching.

Snnowzone Ages 13-18 years
This unique program offers lessons for young adults ages 13-18 on skiing and snowboarding. Offering either half or full-day lessons (lunch included for full-days).  SnowZone is designed to engage teens in diverse on-snow learning activities while also providing an indoor and outdoor environment for them to meet and interact with their peers.  Full day participants gather together at lunch with their pros providing additional social group time.
