(as of Wednesday, March 29, 2017)
It was a wild to start to the week here, Pico fans, but it looks like sunny weather will welcome us back on Thursday and there's snow on the way for the weekend!
Faced with firm surfaces all around following this week's thaw/freeze cycle, our intrepid grooming team will take to Pico's slopes tonight, deploying their power-tillers to serve up fresh, soft corduroy on 19 trails. Although we'll start off Thursday with only those 19 trails open, we have our fingers crossed that Friday's snowfall, predicted to be 8-inches or more, will send Pico patrol on a trail opening spree for the weekend.
Also on the grooming list tonight is the Gold Rush Terrain Park. Conveniently located at the junction of Gold Rush and Middle Pike Gold Rush Park is packed with 12 features suitable for all levels of park skiers and riders.
Pico's operating hours this week are 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Pico will reopen for one last bonus weekend, Saturday April 8 and Sunday April 9.
