(as of Sunday, February 26, 2017)
Hello Pico fans! Get ready, winter is literally storming back into the Pico area tonight. An overnight storm front will bring wet weather, followed by snow flurries, gusty winds and falling temperatures. That combination could cause some delays on Sunday morning - please check back here before heading for the slopes on Sunday.
With temperatures falling nearly 30 degrees overnight, we will be grateful for the smooth, soft surfaces provided by Pico's grooming team. Look for fresh corduroy on 12 trails Sunday morning, including KA and 49er from the Summit plus Fools Gold, Gold Rush, Expressway and Lower Pike off the Golden Express.
Due to the timing of the temperature drop, the Gold Rush Terrain Park at Pico will be closed on Sunday, but Pico snowmakers will be back to work, rebuilding base depth on 49er and Sunset 71.
