Trekkers, Ages 4-6
A Full Day of Mountain Adventure
Trekkers is designed to keep kids learning and moving throughout the day. Our instructors balance skill development with breaks and age-appropriate activities to help young skiers and riders stay engaged from their first turns of the morning through the afternoon.
Parents can enjoy their own time on the mountain knowing their child is spending the day learning with experienced instructors in a program built specifically for their age group.

Available: Saturdays and Sundays from mid-December 2026 through March 2027, plus Feb. 16-19 and daily during peak periods*.
*2026/27 Peak Dates: December 25, 2026 – January 3, 2027; January 16–18, 2027; February 13–15, 2027

Drop Off: 9:00a.m.
Pick up: 3:00p.m.
Meeting Location: Inside at the Trekkers Den located in Pico Building D, across from the main base lodge

Rentals and Lift Access: Lift access is included. If rentals are needed, please select rental add on in check out process.

Details
An innovative combination of inside skill building, and outside exploration, your Trekker will come away from the session having explored the wonders of the outside environment, learned about his or her equipment, on snow safety and appropriate skiing or riding skills. Trekkers meets inside at the Trekkers Den located in Pico Building D, across from the main base lodge. If equipment is needed, it will be fitted by staff inside the Pico Rental Shop.
Check out our first timer Tips & Tricks to help prepare you for your first day on snow. Trekkers is a full day program from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and includes a lift ticket and lunch. Available Saturday-Sunday and daily during peak* periods from mid-December through late March.
Please notify us at registration time and lesson check-in if your child has any dietary restrictions. We are able to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, nut free, kosher and gluten free options. Please be aware that all of our foods are made in a common kitchen, and cross contamination is a possibility. We encourage families to bring their own meals if they have specific dietary restrictions or needs outside of vegetarian requests.

Ready for Their Next Adventure?
For older kids, check out the Pico Mountaineers Program for ages 7–15, where young skiers and riders can continue developing their skills and exploring more of the mountain.
Cancellation Policy
Prior to 4:00 p.m. two days prior to the lesson date, lessons may be cancelled for a 90% refund or 100% cancellation credit. For example, a lesson for a Saturday is eligible for a 90% refund or 100% cancellation credit through 4:00 p.m. the preceding Wednesday.
Prior to 4:00 p.m. the day prior to the lesson date, lessons may be cancelled for a 100% cancellation credit. No refunds. For example, a lesson for a Saturday is eligible for a 100% cancellation credit through 4:00 p.m. the preceding Friday. A refund is not available.
After 4:00 p.m. the day prior to the lesson, there are no cancellations or changes permitted since we’ve held that spot from our inventory and have assigned an instructor to teach the lesson. We know that weather and snow conditions vary, but if the resort is open for skiing/riding we will be providing lessons as scheduled and there are no refunds, vouchers, or credits issued due to these events.
