VT Student Pass & Free Lease Program

For Vermont-based students in grades K-12, a full season of skiing or riding may be more affordable than you think. Our Vermont Student Pass is now available for purchase at just $149, giving any qualified student in the state unlimited lift access during winter 2026/27 plus Bring a Friend discounts, scenic gondola rides this fall at Killington, and much more. If your kiddos also need some equipment for the season, one of our Upward & Outward community initiatives may have you covered there as well. The Vermont Youth Ski & Ride Free Lease Program is returning this winter, our $60,000 investment towards our community that helped over 300 children receive a free season of ski or snowboard equipment last winter. As a reminder, all VT Student Pass holders at Killington or Pico that are 11 years old or younger and live in Rutland or Windsor counties qualify for this program. Head to our website to learn more about this initiative and to see the list of shops where you could claim your child's free lease equipment.

Construction Update

Snowmaking infrastructure improvements are continuing all over the hill this fall, with a new valve station at the Easy Street/K.A. intersection next up on the docket for our Mountain Ops team. Crews are also working to replace several hydrants on Bronco and That A Way, continuing to improve the reliability of snowmaking around our Outpost area. Welding work has finished up at the new valve station at the base of Lower Pike, where a new structure will soon be erected to provide a better workspace for our snowmakers this winter. Lastly, snowmaking pipe work between Lower Pike and B Slope is now completed, meaning our base area is free and clear to host the return of an annual fall classic.

Killington Brewfest

Our 30th annual Killington Brewfest is almost here, set to take place in our scenic base area on Saturday, September 26. With foliage already starting to pop all over the mountain, we should be in for a gorgeous fall afternoon full of craft beverages, great eats, and much more. The whole family is welcome once again this year, as we'll have plenty of kid-friendly activities and yard games, plus several local vendors and some high-energy live tunes from Terrafunk. Plus, we'll still have over 100 of our region's finest beers, ciders, seltzers, and non-alcoholic options to sample from the breweries you know and love. Gather your crew and grab your Brewfest tickets today!

Pico Ski Club Annual Swap & Sale

Is your gear closet getting a little too full? Or are you looking to step into (or onto) something new this year? Either way, Pico Ski Club's Annual Ski Swap & Sale is the place to be. On October 2-4, our Base Lodge will be filled with new and used skis, snowboards, clothing, snowshoes, and equipment to browse for kids and adults of all skill levels. Check out our Pico Ski Club Annual Swap & Sale event page for more information, including details about consigning or volunteering at this year's event. Proceeds for this event go to benefit Pico Ski Club and its racing programs that benefit over 150 participants ages 6 and up.

See you on the slopes soon enough!
